Our setting guarantees that any event is transformed to an everlasting memory

We offer five charming, child and pet friendly, self-contained cottages, all nestled privately in a natural rain forest catering for Weddings, Micro Weddings, Elopments and other Events.

We sleep large groups of up to 20 guests. If you need to sleep more than 20 guests, we supply sofa bed options which can sleep an additional 8 guests and on top of this we offer four trundle beds as well.

All cottages offer parking for 2 cars, a cosy fireplace with wood supplied, free high speed Wi-Fi, smart TV with streaming services, porta cot, high chair, extra trundle beds, extra bedding and towels, own kitchen with coffee machine and an assortment of teas, loungeroom, bathroom and private outdoor courtyard with BBQ.

For weddings and other events requiring the use of outdoor courtyards we require that you book the whole retreat at the minimum cost of 2 guests for two nights to ensure your privacy.

The hire of the grouds on the day of the event is $500 for up to 25 visiting guests and $700 for up to 50 visiting guests. 

If your guests are only those sleeping at the retreat we can waive the grounds hire fee.

THE COTTAGES

JACUZZI LODGE – Two bedrooms. Master with King bed. Second bedroom with triple bunk bed consisting of double bed on bottom and single bunk bed on top. Cottage comfortably sleeps 5 guests. We also provide a sofa bed that sleeps an extra 2 and a trundle bed for additional guests on request. Jacuzzi Lodge also offers Luxury 8-person outdoor Jacuzzi plus an elevated courtyard with fire pit and amazing views with seating for 30 + people.

WINDMILL LODGE – Three bedrooms. One bedroom with King bed. One bedroom with Queen bed. One bedroom with two single beds that can convert to King bed. Sleeps 6 and we can also provide up to 2 trundle beds for additional guests on request.

JACUZZI AND WINDMILL LODGE COMBINED. These two lodges can be opened into one large 5-bedroom, 2 Kitchen, 2 lounge room house and we recommend this for larger groups and functions. Comfortably sleeps 11. We also provide a sofa bed that sleeps 2 and up to 2 trundle beds for additional guests on request. Jacuzzi Lodge also offers a Luxury 8 person outdoor Jacuzzi plus an elevated courtyard with fire pit and amazing views with seating for 30 people.

BROOK COTTAGE – Two Bedrooms. One bedroom with Queen bed. One bedroom with bunk bed consisting of double bed on bottom and single bunk bed on top. Couch in lounge converts to a double sofa bed. We also provide a trundle bed. Sleeps 5 plus 2 on sofa bed and 1 on trundle bed.

SPA COTTAGE – One Bedroom with Queen size bed. Also offers a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge. Includes a luxury indoor corner spa bath. Sleeps 2 plus 2 on sofa bed.

KLARA’S STUDIO — Romantic, brand new, open plan Studio, perfect for newly weds. Featuring slow combustion fire place and corner Spa with huge double glazed windows looking out onto private forest views. Studio is self contained, fully equiped with a kitchenette, a dishwasher, a Queen size bed and also a sofa bed that can sleep 2 extra guests.

Exclusions

The quote is for the use of a specified area of the grounds and accommodation only, and in accordance with condition 7 (see below). The quote does not include marquees, seating, setting up, catering, transportation, etc. Should you need assistance with the above we are able to recommend the services of a professional wedding planner which is not included in this quote.

General Terms and Conditions

The event (including deliveries of equipment, catering, etc) may commence from 9 am. The grounds will need to be vacated by 9 pm. The hire time commences from arrival of guests not staying on the property, and ends when equipment is removed. Equipment may be delivered and set up prior to the start of the event by negotiation.

Cleaning of the grounds is not included. You will have to arrange for such cleaning. The grounds are to be left in the same condition as before the wedding. Cleaning of the holiday accommodation units is included in the cost.

A security deposit of $1000 will be required (see payment terms for required time to pay this amount). The bond is fully refundable upon complying with all the conditions and returning the grounds in the state they were prior to the wedding. In the event that Fernglen Forest Retreat has to carry out cleaning, remove materials or repair damage caused, Fernglen Forest Retreat reserves the right to pay this out of the security deposit.

A maximum wedding party of up to 20/50 people is permitted. Children under two are not counted towards this amount.

A maximum of 10 cars is permitted on the property. A mini bus and/or parking on the street is recommended.

We cannot offer refunds in the event of poor weather on the wedding day. We suggest making arrangements to proceed with the event in the event of poor weather.

Unless specifically stated elsewhere, this quote includes accommodation for 2 people at the Jacuzzi Lodge, 2 people at the Brook Cottage, 2 people at the Windmill Lodge, 2 people at Spa Cottage and 2 people at Klara’s Studio. Additional people can be accommodated at additional costs.  Children under two are not counted and stay for free. However, note that this assumes they are sleeping in a portacot. We can provide one portacot for each cottage (i.e. a total of five), the rest will need to be provided by the Client.

Check in time is 3 pm and check out time is 10 am. Early or late checkouts may be negotiated at extra cost.

The outdoor jacuzzi is for the use of holiday accommodation guests only.

The use of the outdoor spa area (sauna and outdoor bath) is not included in the price. Separate costs apply for the use of this area if required, refer to our website for costs and booking.

Please be aware that the grounds consist of precious protected forests, wildlife and river and are to be treated with the utmost respect. No fauna or flora is to be disturbed or damaged. Guests will be liable for any damages.

There is to be no amplified music after 9 pm

During the ceremony and reception, by law noise is to comply with the Environment Protection Act 1970

Payment terms

The balance amount due plus a $1000 security deposit is payable no later than 14 days prior to the event.

If payments are not received in accordance with the terms, Fernglen Forest Retreat reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Cancellations and refunds


Please refer to our cancellation and refunds policy available on our website (www.fernglenforestretreat.com.au). Notwithstanding the policy on our website, note that due to the amount of work typically involved with arranging a wedding, a minimum cancellation fee of $300 will apply.

Liability waiver

The client agrees to release and forever discharge FGFR Pty Ltd ATF The Clara Muller Family Trust (trading as Fernglen Forest Retreat) and its employees from of any liability in terms of damage, loss or injury arising out of or in connection with this agreement. By paying us the amount set out in this quote (in part or full), you agree to these terms.
